Camera Operator

An innovative and necessary look at the kitchen of the future

I had the opportunity to participate as a camera operator on Zero Waste Chef, an international HBO production that offers an innovative and necessary perspective on the kitchen of the future. The program embraces the zero-waste philosophy, showing how creativity and sustainability can transform the way we cook and consume. Far from discarding ingredients, the participating chefs utilize every part to create delicious, responsible, and sustainable dishes, turning waste into culinary art.

From behind the camera, my role was to capture the visual and emotional essence of this project: the colors, textures, and gestures that reveal the chefs’ passion for the planet and their craft. The photography had to reflect the harmony between the aesthetic beauty of the food and the ethical message driving the format: cooking as an act of respect and environmental awareness.

The program brought together renowned international chefs, each contributing their personal vision on how to reduce environmental impact without sacrificing gastronomic pleasure. The visual narrative complemented this cultural diversity with an elegant and naturalistic style, highlighting the connection between land, product, and emotion.

Zero Waste Chef was an international success, not only for its culinary approach but also for its message of change. Participating in this project allowed me to combine audiovisual technique with ecological sensitivity, contributing to a production that demonstrates that television can inspire, educate, and move viewers through sustainability.
