ROLE

Camera Operator / Aerial Imagery

An intimate and honest look

Being part of the Chester team, the interview program hosted by Risto Mejide, has been a profoundly enriching experience as a camera operator and drone pilot. This format, established over numerous seasons, combines journalistic rigor with an intimate and honest look at its guests, prominent figures from the social, cultural, and political spheres.

From my position behind the camera, I’ve had the responsibility of capturing not only the words, but also the silences, the emotions, and the reactions that make each encounter unique. Chester is a space where conversation becomes emotional journalism, and the image plays an essential role in conveying truth and intimacy.

Working on a program with this journalistic depth demands an attentive, objective, and sensitive eye: framing reality without distorting it, but imbuing it with narrative power. Each interview is an exercise in observation and respect, in which the camera becomes a witness to moments of reflection, vulnerability, and authenticity.

Participating in Chester has been, for me, an opportunity to unite technique and sensitivity, information and emotion, in a format that demonstrates that television can continue to be a space for thought and truth.
